The basics
What is Workspace Launcher Pro?
Workspace Launcher Pro, also called Workspace Launcher, is a Windows desktop app by Meltvest. It saves a workspace made of apps, browser tabs, folders and project resources together with their window positions, and reopens it with one click.
What problem does Workspace Launcher Pro solve?
It removes the repetitive setup of opening the same apps, tabs and folders and dragging windows into place every time you change task, restart your PC or connect a different monitor. You prepare the environment once, save it as a workspace and launch it whenever you need it.
Which versions of Windows does it support?
Workspace Launcher Pro is built for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Does it replace Windows virtual desktops or window snapping?
No, it builds on them. A workspace can span Windows virtual desktops and monitors, and the app includes its own zone engine to snap windows with the mouse, so you do not need to install a separate snapping tool for that.
Who makes Workspace Launcher Pro?
Workspace Launcher Pro is developed and published by Meltvest. Its official listing is on the Microsoft Store and its official website provides the product details, videos and the user guide.
Plans and download
Is there a free version of Workspace Launcher Pro?
Yes. Starter is free and includes up to 2 workspaces, 3 items per workspace and 1 custom layout. Plus removes the limits and Ultimate adds the AI assistant. Check the plans section for current features and availability.
What do the paid plans add?
Plus gives unlimited workspaces and items, multi-monitor features and priority support. Ultimate adds the interactive AI assistant, the option to use your own API key or local models, per-monitor display profiles and MCP integration. Some options depend on your plan, so check the plans section before choosing.
Where can I download it?
Download Workspace Launcher Pro from its Microsoft Store listing. The official website provides product details, videos and the user guide.
Can I try a paid plan before buying?
When a free trial is available it is shown in the plans section. It runs for a limited number of days, needs no card and is activated from the app with your account. When it ends you return to the free plan without losing your setup.
What it can do
Can it save the windows I already have open?
Yes. Capture turns your current desktop into a workspace: you review the detected apps, pages, folders and window positions, exclude what you do not want and save. You can also update an existing workspace from a new capture.
Does it work with several monitors, or a laptop plus an external screen?
Yes. You can assign each item to a monitor and keep several screen profiles for the same workspace, for example one for your laptop and another for your desk. When you connect or disconnect a screen the app can offer to restore the workspace with the matching profile.
Can I open a workspace with a shortcut, a mouse gesture or my voice?
Yes. You can assign a keyboard macro to launch, close or toggle a workspace, assign it to a mouse gesture wheel, or ask the optional voice assistant. The number of gesture slots and the AI features depend on your plan.
Does it include an AI assistant?
Yes, as an optional feature. The assistant can draft workspaces from a written or spoken description and you review the proposal before saving. AI features need a compatible plan and a provider you configure, and you choose what context it can use.
Can it open my development environment?
Yes. A workspace can combine an editor, browser pages, a terminal and project folders with their window positions. It does not install dependencies or start your development server for you.
Limits and privacy
Does restoring a workspace recover unsaved work?
No. It reopens configured resources and window positions. Save documents in their own apps; a workspace is not a backup of unsaved data or application memory.
Where is my configuration stored?
Your saved workspaces, paths, notes and preferences are stored on your computer. You can optionally choose a shared configuration folder. Assistant context such as window titles, the active address or screenshots is only used with the provider you configure and the options you enable.
Why did a window open in the wrong place?
Check the item monitor, desktop, layout and zone, and confirm the selected screen profile after changing screens. A window minimum size, or an app running with different permissions, can also prevent placement. The troubleshooting guide covers each case.
