Keep notes and timers beside your Windows work

How can I keep a reminder visible and time a piece of work?

A task you can try

Keep a colored note with a meeting’s next step, start a 20-minute timer for preparation and use the stopwatch to measure a rehearsal. Hide the note when finished and recover it later from the shelf.

How to set it up

  1. Open Utilities and create a note with a recognizable color.
  2. Show or hide it and check the saved note shelf.
  3. Set a timer duration and start it, or use the stopwatch.
  4. Keep the app running and review its notification settings.

When it helps

For small reminders and timed activities alongside your existing apps, without setting up an AI provider.

What to check first

Hiding a note does not delete it. Timers require the app to keep running. These tools do not imply automatic Pomodoro schedules, cross-device note synchronization or a full project-management system.

Questions before you start

Will a timer continue when Settings closes?

It can notify you while the application remains running, even after the Settings panel closes.

Are notes deleted when hidden?

No. Hiding preserves the note; deleting is a separate action.
