Workspace Dictate text into other applications
Choose how to record, deliver and review recognized text.
Prepare dictation
In Settings → Transcriber, choose the microphone, language and available recognition provider. Use the acoustic microphone or a separate one. Dictation and provider availability depend on your plan and connections.
Choose a mode

| Hold to talk | Speak while holding the trigger |
Deliver the result
Paste, copy or type text into the target application. Typing mode enters text gradually. Review clipboard preservation and the option to add Enter: pressing Enter can send a message in some applications.
Make a first test
Place the cursor in a simple text field, activate dictation and speak a short sentence. Review the result and correct names or punctuation. Check the target window before dictating into an important document.
You can cancel with Escape during the flow and review, copy or delete history entries. To give instructions about windows rather than write text, use the voice assistant.
