Connect your AI agent
Use Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, OpenCode or another agent to set up and control Workspace Launcher from its chat.
Your agent, your workspace
Workspace Launcher connects to the AI agents you already use. Once connected, you ask for what you need in its chat and the agent works inside the app: it creates and adjusts workspaces, launches them and checks that they open, arranges windows and prepares actions for your Omnibar. You don't have to open the interface to set it up.
Agents you can connect
The app detects the ones installed on this Windows and connects them with one click.
| Agent | From |
|---|---|
| Claude Code and Claude Desktop | Anthropic |
| Codex | OpenAI |
| Antigravity and Gemini CLI | |
| OpenCode | OpenCode |
| GitHub Copilot (Copilot CLI) | GitHub |
| Cursor | Anysphere |
| Windsurf (Cascade) | Windsurf |
Claude Code and Claude Desktop are separate connections. If you use another MCP-compatible client, see connect other clients.
Connect an agent
WhereSettingsExternal agentsConnect your agent
- Open Settings → External agents. The list shows each agent with its status and a single action.
- Press Connect next to the agent you use. If you don't have it yet, you will see Download; once installed, the app detects it.
- If the status is Almost ready, press Complete setup: the app adds a usage guide to your agent so it knows what it can do with Workspace Launcher.
- When it says Connected, press Open, start a new chat and accept the permissions the agent asks for.
The client starts the connection when it needs it: there is no server to turn on. Every action keeps your license limits.
| Status | What it means | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Not installed | The agent was not found | Download |
| Not connected | Installed, without Workspace Launcher yet | Connect |
| Almost ready | Connected, its usage guide is missing | Complete setup |
| Connected | Everything is ready | Open |
| Review | The connection points to another installation or path | Repair connection |
If your agent is in an unusual location, use Find on my computer in its More options menu and choose its executable. Use automatic discovery goes back to the normal behavior. From the same menu you can Disconnect the agent; open a new chat in it so it stops offering Workspace Launcher.
If a "workspace-launcher" connection or a custom guide with another configuration already exists, the app does not replace it: review it in your agent before completing the connection.
What you can ask
Use your own words. These examples come from the app itself; tap one to copy it:
- "What workspaces do I have?"
- "Open my work workspace."
- "Put Chrome on the left and the chat on the right."
- "Create a study workspace with Chrome and my notes."
It can also prepare settings and integrations, and connect your projects and tools to the Omnibar: see the Omnibar and your custom actions.
Control and safety
- Plan. Connecting external agents requires a plan that includes it (Ultimate, Team or Enterprise). If yours doesn't, the app says so when you connect.
- Permissions. The agent may ask for your permission in its own chat. An agent only runs a custom action if you have allowed it for that action.
- Review. An agent doesn't replace your judgment: check what it created before relying on it, as with a chat draft.
- Your choice. Connect only the agents you use and disconnect those you no longer need.
Connect other clients
Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, Cursor and Windsurf connect from the list. For another MCP-compatible client, open Settings → Omnibar → Custom actions and use Copy instructions for my agent: it prepares a package with the local configuration and the guide to paste into your client. It contains no credentials or connections of yours.
If something doesn't work
- Open a new chat in the agent: some clients load connections when they start.
- If the status is Review, press Repair connection and restart the client.
- If the status is Not installed but you have it, use Find on my computer.
- If the app says your license doesn't allow external agents, check your plan in Account.
