Give a request context from notes and folders you choose.
Choose the scope
The assistant can help with compatible notes and documents in folders or vaults you select. Define the folder and explain which document to consult. Do not assume it knows everything open or unsaved.
Ask a specific question
Ask it to find a note, summarize a document or locate information related to your task. Start with a known resource and check that the response refers to the correct document. Supported text formats such as Markdown and plain text have reading limits; a large document may need a smaller selection.
Review changes
When requesting document edits, check the proposed content, destination and scope. Supported operations may retain a backup copy. Review the result in your notes application before continuing to edit it in parallel.
Difference from memory
Documents contain information you consult or edit for a task. Assistant memory holds reusable preferences. Saving a note does not automatically turn it into a preference.
A local document can supply content to an AI provider when included in a request. Select only the context you need and read privacy.
