Add applications and resources
Choose the right type and placement for each item.
Supported item types
Select the workspace and press +. The type determines how the resource opens.
| Type | Use |
|---|---|
| Application | Installed program or executable. |
| Web link | Pages in a selected browser. |
| IDE project | Folder or project with an editor. |
| Folder | Location in File Explorer. |
| Terminal | Session with a profile, folder and startup actions. |
| Obsidian | Vault and, where applicable, note. |
Configure an item
- Choose type and name.
- Select the app or resource.
- Set monitor and desktop.
- Choose a layout and zone, or free placement.
- Complete required fields and save.
VS Code can be an application or project editor; it is not a separate seventh type.
Options and checks
Depending on the type, add tabs, parameters or integrations. Launch delay is for special cases; avoid unnecessary waits.
Check that the program opens outside the launcher and that its folders exist on this computer.
