Rearrange without starting over

Change a workspace arrangement and desktop plan.

Change the arrangement

Open Rearrange to change where items should open without entering their resources again.

The board shows monitors, desktops, layouts and items. Planned desktop positions are not necessarily the physical desktops currently open in Windows.

Make a change

  1. Choose the desktop to edit.
  2. Select each screen’s layout.
  3. Move items into zones or free placement.
  4. Rename or add planned desktops.
  5. Review pending changes and save.

When removing a desktop containing items, review their reassignment. Logical groups organise the plan without requiring a separate desktop for each group.

Save and apply

An unsaved-changes warning means leaving may discard the rearrangement. Changing the saved plan and applying it to open windows are different steps: use the panel’s application action or launch again.

Regular screen setups

For laptop, office and desktop setups, keep display profiles inside the same workspace.

To incorporate currently open resources, update from capture.
