Workspace Close and keep windows
Distinguish workspace cleaning, desktop cleaning and minimising.
Choose the scope
Clean workspace operates on its windows. Clear desktop closes unnecessary unrelated windows. Minimise all takes windows out of view without closing them.
Check whether the dialogue includes one workspace, the current desktop or several desktops. Settings control scope and preview.
Review before closing
With preview enabled, select windows to close in the diagram or list and deselect what you need. Protected windows are not offered for closing.
Desktop cleaning protects recognised workspace windows and the launcher. Cleaning their workspace is a separate action.
Always keep
Add an application to the picker’s keep list to exclude its windows from the relevant cleanups. Remove the exception through the same control.
Minimise and recover
Minimise can toggle to restore windows. Its settings decide scope and restoration; not every mode returns to exactly the previous state.
Save work before closing. Programs may prompt or lose unsaved changes depending on their behaviour. Cleaning does not remove the workspace definition.
